In this module, the following contents will be taught:
- Variables, Data Types
- Control Constructs
- Iteration
- Arrays
- Structures
- Functions
- Pointers
- File Input/Output
- Object Oriented Programming.
This module is an introduction to the C ++ programming language. No previous knowledge required.
The introduction to the C ++ programming language is designed for students with little or no programming skills.

After successfully participating in the module, students are able to:
- remember the fundamental terms of the C ++ programming language,
- understand and use the basic programming constructs of C/C++,
- use and manipulate various C/C++ datatypes, such as arrays, strings, and pointers,
- debug and fix common errors in C++ programs, use memory appropriately,
- apply object-oriented approaches to software problems in C++ and design and implement small-scale C++ programs using the above skills.

The module consists of lectures and exercises, which are carried out alternately. In the lectures, the content will be imparted by supervisor / lecturers, which will be cumulative. During the exercises, the task and the final result of the respective exercise programs will be specified, where the solution has to be independently developed / programmed by the students. The model solution of the exercise programs will be provided at the end of the semester.

If required, a literature list will be provided at the beginning of the module.
The module Programming in C ++ for Socio Technical Systems consists of lecture and exercise. Participation only in the lecture or only in the exercise is not possible. It is necessary to register for both, the lecture and the exercise, in the TUMonline system as both courses are required to complete the module.
