In this module the following contents will be taught:
- Robot Oriented Management & Design
- Prefabrication/ Industrialized Customization
- Construction Robots & Site Automation
- Robotics/Automation in Building Refurbishing.
Interest in topics such as technology application, prefabrication, and automation in construction, module will be taught fully in English; Incommings / exchange students welcome.
This is an introductory module to automation and robotics in construction and related management and design topics. It is intended for those with little or none pre-knowledge in the field.

By the end of this module, students will be able to:

- remember robot-oriented construction processes,
- understand the basic concepts and the interrelationships of Design for X (Production, Assembly, Logistics, etc.),
- understand the basics of applying and integrating advanced technology in the context of real world construction and constructed living environment,
- understand the prefabrication processes in different industries and countries,
- transfer the basic knowledge to a practical example,
- present their own solutions to the public and document them.
English

The main component of this module is the interactive seminar. At the beginning of the seminar, the fundamentals in the form of lectures on robotics in construction will be taught, which the students should then transfer to current case studies. Depending on the availability of the participants and the subject area (current practical examples will be provided), the students can individually or in groups analyze the given topic and develop new ideas. In the module timeslots, the students are intensively supervised by lecturers and the questions raised are worked out together. Due to the close support and group work, regular attendance during the module is expected.
The results will be presented and documented at the end of the semester.
