"Ultracold quantum gases 2" follows in the next semester.
Basic knowledge in quantum mechanics, atomic physics, electrodynamics, and statistical physics.
After participation in the module the student:
1. has understood the physics of the atom-light interaction
2. is familiar with important techniques for cooling and trapping of ultracold gases
3. knows the basics of Bose-Einstein condensation
