1. Colloids: definition, classification, structures, interactions, stability, electrokinetic phenomena, steric stabilization 2. Block copolymers: micelle and gel formation in amphiphilic block copolymers, synthesis of mesoporous materials, phase behavior in the bulk, structures in thin films 3. Polymer gels: applications, sol-gel transition, chemcial and physical gels, models for the sol-gel transition, swelling behavior, gelatine, self-healing gels 4. Switchable polymers: conformational transtion, co-nonsolvency, switchable networks, micro- and nanogels, switchable surfaces 5. Bioinspired systems: Lotus effect, organic/inorganic hybrids, self-healing polymers |
