Angaben zur Abhaltung
The module follows the information management model by Krcmar (2015) with a focus on the strategy and leadership functions of information and knowledge management from both a theoretical and a practical perspective. The course addresses the following topics:

- Foundations of information and knowledge management
- Information Systems Strategy (Business value of IT, Business IT Alignment, IT-enabled Strategies & Platforms, and the CIO role)
- Information Management (IT Controlling & IT Governance, IT Sourcing & IT Off-Shoring, IT Service Management, Enterprise Architecture Management, and IT Security, Privacy & Risk Management)
- Knowledge Management (Basics, Tools and Applications)

The course includes guest lectures and exercise sessions.
A prior visit of the module Information Management (IN2033) or Information Management for Digital Business Models (IN8024) is expected.
After successful completion of the module, students understand necessary terms, concepts and models in the field of information and knowledge management. They will be able to apply the concepts in organizations as well as discuss the concepts. Moreover, students will be able to develop, analyze, implement and manage information- and knowledge management systems in organizations.

- In the WS20/21 the lecture is held completely online with a mix of synchronous and asynchronous modules -

The module consists of a lecture including guest lectures and exercise sessions. In exercise sessions, students working on exercises based on case studies.
