|
The CIO: Profile and field of activities; Management aspects of the CIO; Interrelation between IT strategy and corporate strategy in a company; Practical training of managerial decisions during the business game: Budgets, projects, marketing, employees. Realistic insight and introduction into strategic IT and corporate management; Regard to long-term consequences of IT infrastructure decisions. Understanding of the integration and interconnection of IT and corporate strategy. Different player roles in the business game represent different responsibilities in the companies' corporate management. Training of expert knowledge without real financial risk. Use a business game environment to produce interest for IT management. |

The 8 ECTS are acquired through following achievements: - Active participation. One absence is allowed, further (not excused) absences will negatively affect the grades - Grouping in the first session - Presentation and paper elaboration of a CIO area topic - Participation in an online simulation game - Regularly preparation of group reports |
