Angaben zur Abhaltung
Introduction to nanotechnology. Nanomaterials and nanosystems for energy applications. Examples of nanotechnology energy production, energy storage, energy harvesting, and high voltage technologies. A look into the future: electro and photocatalysis, hydrogen production and storage. Economical implications of nanotechnology in the energy field. Through the Praktikum,the students will work on a special energy-related project (e.g. fabrication, characterization and simulation of an organic solar cell).
The student should have followed courses in materials science and physics
The course will provide the basis for the understanding of nanotechnology system with special emphasis to those which are relevant for energy applications. Participation in some lab experiments will help the students to aquire practical knowledge about the topics of the lecture. At the end of the course the students will be able to analyse and evaluate energy related nanotechnology systems.
